King Rama I (Fully name was King Phutthayodpha Chulalok Maharat) moved the capital to the east bank of Chao Phraya River and held a brief victory coronation ceremony on June 10th 1782. Then the King gave name to the new capital "Ratanakosin Indra Ayothaya" , or know as Bangkok
.

In the reign of King Rama III (Fully name was King Phranangklawchaoyuhao) renamed the capital as "Krung Thep Mahanakorn Boworn Ratanakosin Mahintara Ayutthaya" and then it was renamed once again in the reign of King Rama IV (Fully name was King Phrachomklawchaoyuhao) as "Krung Thep Mahanakorn Amorn Ratanakosin Mahintarayutthaya Mahadilokphop Nopharat Ratchathanee Burirom Udomratchanivet Mahasathan Amornphimarn Awatan Sathit Sakkathatiya Vishanukamphasit ". From this name , it is the longest name of any capital city in the world. The capital has retained this name since then, which is usually shortened to "Krung Thep Mahanakorn" or "Bangkok" as we know. Next I will talk about the Emblem of Bangkok
